Landscape Developer – Iberia
28-32 hours per week | Preferred: Remote from Spain or Portugal | One-year contract with possibility of extension

About the Role
Commonland supports Territorios Regenerativos, a growing network of landscape restoration initiatives across Spain and Portugal. As Landscape Developer, you will play a key role in enabling systemic change by supporting landscape partners access long-term funding, build strategic relationships, and strengthen their capacity to deliver holistic landscape restoration across Iberia.
This role includes regular travel within Spain and Portugal, and occasional international travel. We prefer candidates working remotely from Spain or Portugal. Working On-site in The Netherlands is an option.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a trusted advisor to landscape partners, coaching them on finance mechanisms, funding strategies, and partnership development. 
- Identify and cultivate strategic relationships with governments, investors, businesses, and philanthropic organizations to unlock funding for landscape restoration. 
- Identify and leverage European, national, and regional public and private funding opportunities to support long-term landscape transformation. 
- Facilitate workshops and dialogues to build fundraising capacity and share best practices across the Territorios Regenerativos network. 
- Communicate financial success stories and impact to inspire action and attract investment from key audiences. 
- Collaborate with Commonland’s European team to align efforts and contribute to systemic change across the region.

You also bring:
- ~10 years of experience in regenerative landscape finance and fundraising, with a proven track record in securing European/national funding and private sector partnerships. 
- Strong knowledge of the Iberian context and a well-established network in sustainable development and environmental sectors. 
- Fluency in Spanish and English, Portuguese is a plus
