Are you passionate about designing and facilitating participatory processes that drive systemic change in landscape restoration? Do you thrive in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and enjoy working with grassroots movements to co-create regenerative futures? Then this role might be for you.
About the Role
Commonland supports Territorios Regenerativos, a growing network of landscape restoration initiatives across Spain and Portugal. Through long-term, collaborative learning journeys known as Landscape Leadership Labs (LLLs), we aim to strengthen leadership, build community, and address systemic barriers to holistic restoration. These Labs go beyond one-off workshops - they are multi-year, systems-led processes that move from shared understanding to experimentation and action, helping communities tackle root causes of degradation and build regenerative landscapes.
This role includes regular travel within Spain and Portugal, and occasional international travel.
What You’ll Do
- Co-design and facilitate long-term Landscape Leadership Labs tailored to Iberian contexts
- Develop participatory, multi-stakeholder learning processes using systems thinking, design methodologies, and transformative facilitation
- Support landscape partners in identifying and addressing root causes of environmental and social challenges, including structural barriers and power dynamics
- Strengthen the Territorios Regenerativos network as a learning community and action-oriented partnership
- Collaborate with and guide a small pool of local facilitators to deliver impactful learning experiences
- Contribute to Commonland’s global learning infrastructure and share insights across regions
- Work closely with the European Landscape Development and Learning Team to ensure strategic alignment

You also bring:
- ~10 years of experience in process design, facilitation, and working with diverse stakeholder groups
- Deep understanding of the Spanish and/or Portuguese environmental and grassroots context
- Fluency in Spanish and English, Portuguese is a plus
- We prefer candidates with a university-level mindset and skill set (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree), but we’re equally open to those who’ve gained comparable experience in practice. We believe great talent doesn’t always fit into one box.
