Job description

What we do
We work closely with local organisations working on landscape restoration to strengthen their work, spark collaboration, and share best practices. By connecting them with funders, policy actors, and fellow changemakers, we amplify their impact at local, regional and global scale. Together with partners across sectors, we also work to shift financial flows and public policies towards creating regenerative land use systems. We advocate for tackling interlinked ecological, social, and economic issues in an integrated way through local regenerative solutions.

The Event Manager will join our Development & Communications team. The team consists of two teams: fundraising + communications. You will be in our communications team working closely together with the fundraising team

Your responsibilities
• Co-develop and execute the event strategy with the team lead, as part of the wider communications strategy.
• Be the focal point for external events production, supporting various teams to organise events of different sizes catered to our key

audiences, for example:

  • Learning events for restoration practitioners and local change leaders (mainly in Europe).

  • Inspiration events for funders, including landscape visits.

  • Other types of events at local, regional, and global levels, where we aim to spread our message to specific audiences, including the wider public, funders, and policymakers – for example, side events at COP, New York Climate Week and EU Green Week

  • In some cases, you will manage the whole event; in others, you may support other teams with specific aspects of event production.

• Responsible for project managing the communications plan for each event, overseeing key deadlines and briefing the other comms team members (notably the creative/digital team) to, for instance, create invitations, develop event brochures, select prominent invitees like press and influencers, and develop digital content around the event.
• Responsible for setting up an internal event management process to ensure the communications team has a clear overview of all external events.

• Evaluation of events once they have finished for optimisation of the event production process over time.

What do we offer
• The opportunity to create long-term sustainable and social impact across continents and incidental travel to landscape projects

• A salary ranging from 4000 euro to 5000 euro (depending on the level of experience) and 31 holidays, based on 40 hours/week
• A good pension scheme
• A dynamic and international scale-up environment with passionate, enthusiastic team members
• A yearly training budget to boost your skillset.
• We work in a hybrid setting, meaning working at least 50% from the office
• Fun activities to get to know your colleagues better: Healthy Monday lunches, monthly drinks and culture days
