Job description

Communications Intern

Are you a hands-on team player, who’s passionate about the power of storytelling and communications to change the world? Are you creative and thorough, and eager to learn about landscape restoration in an international working environment? Then we’d love you to join our team as our new Communications Intern!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven intern who wants to dive deep into community-led nature restoration from a communications perspective. In this role, you will support us in our branding and communications work, contributing to processes, campaigns and events. From fundraising materials, to public and policy events, to digital campaigns – you'll be getting your hands dirty helping us to build the restoration movement!

In this role you will join our Communications team and have the opportunity to learn alongside five enthusiastic colleagues with many years of experience in impact-driven communications.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the team in event management – from benchmarking and pitching for new events to attend, to brainstorming about or organising event sessions. Events range from 4 Returns Community events, and donor events to participation in international policy events.
  • Support with communications and branding processes, like updating the website, keeping our files and project management tool up to date, and facilitating design processes.
  • Support with content-driven projects for a diverse range of stakeholders and channels (e.g. our new podcast), to support upcoming campaigns.

We offer you

  • An internship fee of € 500,- per month, based on a 40-hour workweek
  • A passionate, impact-driven, international team.
  • An open, dynamic and supportive learning environment – we value personal development.
  • Monday team lunch, fun team activities (e.g. team days, inspiration lunches) and great coffee in a green office space.

Please note that this internship position is only available for students who are enrolled within an EU University / educational institution, but need to be living in the Netherlands to receive the internship payment (BSN number needed). Preferably you can join the team for a minimum of 5 months.
